CELEBRATING THE TRUE ARCHITECT OF MODERN EKITI
As Ekiti people look over ready in the direction to extol Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose two years in office, which is imminent, Ekiti west local government chairman Hon Kolawole Omotunde, has explicitly fulfilled that there is need to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the governor in office.
Hon Kolawole Omotunde recently point out the massive road construction and renovation projects both the completed and ongoing one in the state. He stated that both Ekiti indigenes and non-indigenes have witnessed few to be mentioned road projects within the State. He said; a visit to Awedele dual carriageway in Ado Ekiti, Ikere dual carriageway, Efon dual carriageway, recently constructed 2km asphalt in Erio and omuo carriageway would make one applaud the good work of Mr Fayose.
Kolawole disclosed that "in governor's bid to serve the people better, he has completed physical projects which spread across all Local government in the State. Aduni Olayinka women development center, ongoing 1.7km fly over and Ultra modern Oja Oba market in the State capital are visible even to the blind" he said. He added that; on assumption of Governor Fayose to office two years ago, Ekiti State was something else in the neighborhood of a pariah State. Infrastructure was nothing to write home about. Workers morale was down as a result of ill treatment meted on them by his predecessor.
One good thing to note is, despite the billions accumulated debt incurred by the APC led government in the State, our amiable Governor has done better. Even a blind man sees the transformation of the State from obscurity to global preeminence by Mr Fayose.
He stated that ongoing developmental process has affected all sectors of the economy ranging from; education to agriculture, commerce, security and other areas. Who is not aware of the steps taken by Ekiti State government to achieve great height in education recently? Roads, transport, health, human capital development, and youth empowerment, tourism, women empowerment, micro finance, agriculture, information, sports, housing and social security for the elderly ones among others.
"Governor Fayose two years in office is greatly satisfactory with laudable achievements. Indeed,he is a reliable leader, achiever, the face of modern Ekiti and arrow head of political philosophy in Nigeria." Omotunde said.
On this note, the entire staffs, executive and legislative arms celebrates the 2nd year in office of our dynamic governor on behalf of Ekiti West Local Government.
Long Live Ekiti West!
Long live Ekiti State!!

Exposed!!! buhari now uses “hearing aid”, did cochlear implant surgery in uk at N8.75m, not N20m
Contrary to what Nigerians were made to believe that President Mohammadu Buhari, only travelled to London in June, this year to rest, as well as see an Ear, Nose And Throat specialist (E.N.T) for a persistent ear infection, Total news can now report that the President had Cochlear Implant surgery in London.
A cochlear implant is an electronic medical device that replaces the function of the damaged inner ear. Unlike hearing aids, which make sounds louder, cochlear implants do the work of damaged parts of the inner ear (cochlea) to provide sound signals to the brain. The surgery usually lasts between three and four hours.
Femi Adesina, Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to the president, had said in a statement that; “President Muhammadu Buhari will take 10 days off and travel to London on Monday June 6th to rest. During the holiday, he will see an E.N.T. specialist for a persistent ear infection. The President was examined by his Personal Physician and an E.N.T Specialist in Abuja and was treated. Both Nigerian doctors recommended further evaluation purely as a precaution.”
However, it has been discovered that the President had more than mere ear infection.
Sources at the Presidency said ears of President Buhari were actually damaged beyond redemption and Cochlear Implant surgery had to be done.
Also, contrary to claim by Mallam Garba Shehu, the Spokesperson to President Buhari that the President spent about N20 million as medical expenses for his ear treatment, the cost of Cochlear Implant surgery in the United Kingdom is less than N10 million.
According to the Nottingham University Hospital, United Kingdom, the overall initial cost of implantation, including: the cochlear implant device, the surgery, medical check-up is approximately 36,000 Great Britain Pound (GBP) for children and approximately 20,000 GBP for adults. Additional costs in the first year for programming, assessments and rehabilitation are as follows: approximately 9,600 GBP for children and approximately 4,500 GBP for adults.
As at June this year that the President travelled to London for the surgery, official dollar exchange rate was N197. Assuming GBP exchange rate was N350 then, 25,000 GBP will be N8.75 million.
In medical parlance, Cochlear Implant surgery is a unique way of giving severe and profoundly deaf patients the chance to hear.
The implant bypasses a faulty hearing organ by electrically stimulating the auditory nerve. The nerve impulse is then transmitted to the brain, and hearing is restored. Cochlear implants are not the solution to every hearing problem, but they can drastically improve the quality of life for many people with hearing impairment.

The youths under the auspices of the PDP Youths Congress (PDPYC), said Senator Buruji Kashamu was more of APC
Buruji’s Antics Clear As APC Instrument In PDP -Youths Expose Senator
Youths in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have told the party’s senator, representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Buruji Kashamu to be bold enough to declare openly for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and stop pretending to be member of the PDP.
The youths under the auspices of the PDP Youths Congress (PDPYC), said Senator Buruji Kashamu was more of APC than the PDP and he should rather join the APC formally instead of going about masquerading as PDP member while at the same defending the APC federal government.
In a release issued today by its Convener, Mr. Oluwole Durojaiye, copy of which was made available to journalists online, PDPYC said it should be cleared to all lovers of the PDP, especially in the Southwest that Senator Kashamu was agent of the APC and was ready to do everything to destroy the party.
The PDPYC, which said Senator Kashamu was already acting as the mouthpiece of the APC, noted that he (Kashamu) will be a better replacement for Alhaji Lai Mohammed as the APC National Publicity Secretary, since he had taken over the job of defending every undemocratic acts of the federal government even better than the two presidential spokespersons.
They said it should interest genuine lovers of the PDP Senator Kashamu that has spent over N100 million on media publications against fellow PDP members while he has not published one paragraph article against the APC led federal government.
The PDP youths also alleged that over N2 billion must have been spent by the senator to procure court orders against the PDP.
Going memory lane, the PDP youths said the problems that led to the party’s loss of power started from Senator Kashamu’s manipulation of the courts to remove Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Chief Bode Mustapha and Chief Segun Oni as the party’s National Secretary, National Auditor and National Vice Chairman (Southwest) respectively.
While he was doing all these then, he was getting contracts from the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun One of such contracts was the supply of vehicles to the Ogun State House of Assembly.
PDP youths should remember that it was Kashamu that got that controversial court ruling that Prince Oyinlola and Bode Mustapha did not emerged as national officers of the party through the Southwest zonal congress and that was where the crisis that made the party to lose power started.
They said the question that should be asked Kashamu and his ilk was that; where was it written in the PDP constitution that national officers must emerge through zonal congresses?
The youths lamented that it was the same way Kashamu was used to destroy the PDP then, thereby costing us the presidency that he is being used by the duo of Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and Minister of Transport, Mr Rotimi Amaechi.

UDIROKO FESTIVAL the Benefits of the Past~ Ado L.G Chairman Hon. Ogunsakin.
Abalu'le Ado.
The Executive Chairman of Ado Ekiti Local Govt. Hon. Deji Ogunsakin has narrated the history of Ado Ekiti, and Benefits of the Udiroko Festival to Ado and Ekiti-State at large.
While speaking through his Special Assitance on Media Asiwaju Rowland Adewale Falade, Said "since1990 when the Current Ewi of Ado Ekiti OBA Dr. ADEYEMO ADEJUGBE ALADESANMI III steps to his father shoe, Ado Ekiti and Ekiti State at large has witness alot of development during his reign.
Falade who futher said "In history we were told that Ewi left Ile Ile for Benin to stay with his brother the Oba of Benin, he settled in Itamodi. Itamodi is very close to Benin. They co-existed there for so many years. At a point, the place was not conducive enough for the two of them to continue to stay together. So, Ewi had to leave and he left enroute Ido-Ani but before he left Itamodi, Ewibiritiokun joined his ancestor and Ewi Awamaro Started the journey through Idoani in Ondo State and after so many years in Agbado here in Ekiti State. AGBA ADO, means the Elders of Ado. But the Ifa Oracle called Elegunpeyeje told them that they were yet to arrive at their destination and that they need to continue the journey but the Elders were tired of wandering and decided to stay back in Agbado that still exists in Ekiti till today. You see it means AGBA ADO, where the Ado Elders settled,
"Eventually, the Ewi and Ifa Oracle Elegunpeyeje continued the journey until they got to Ilumoba, they called the place ILU OMOBA in those days, now it is Ilumoba. But the Ewi and his team continued the journey, actually one of the Prince decided to stay back in Ilumoba and they are still there till today. So, they finally arrived in this place and the Ifa Oracle Elegunpeyeje said "Yes this is the place, and that is why we call it ADO, meaning here we settle. And the first meeting was held under Iroko tree and it was so done that every year Ado people would gather and offer prayer to God for peace, in their lives, all their achievements during the year, or if they failed, they we find out where did they missed it, take stock and continue, we still do so.
Falade Adding that "When you hear people celebrating a day you Understand that UDIROKO DAY is our (January 1). And that is why Ado people call it (OLORUNBORUN) I dont know whether you know the meaning of Olorunborun as asked by Leader Ojo Ayegbusi Ayee and Igbalajobi last week. OLORUNBORUN means when gathered to thank our God. In Yoruba language and so we say Olorunborun also mean God we honour you in heaven.
Falade noting that "We believe in God in Ado Ekiti and anyone who thinks he has God, should whorship him, in the olden days the head of the family will prepare feasts using what they have, usually it used to be Bush Meat, now you may kill goat or chichen, children would heat and wear the best clothes in those days, smokes from charcoal served as perfumes and preservatives for our cloth to prevent them from termites, so you put on your best (Dandogo, kembe) that day. Very early in the morning, we eat and feast in readiness for the evening when everybody converges on the palace.
Asiwaju Roland Further said " Even in the period of the intertribal wars, our warriors called the Elegbes led by their General, Barafon must return home with the booties of the war. One of the reason for that withdrawal from the war front of the warriors to pledge their allegiance to the throne to reaffirm that they are still loyal and to tell the Ewi their achievements and if there is anything they failed to achieve, the reasons for it and what we could do to prevent such thing from happening again and then planed for the following year.
" In the evening therefore, the Elegbes and all the other chiefs would come to pay homage, The sons and daughter of Ado Ekiti would pay homage, all these are to tell Ewi that they are still loyal. The Ewi would speak from the throne and we will all listen. There would be no response to the speech. The following day, very early in the morning we will gather, but most people don't know this, we will gather at about 6am in the morning at a part of the palace called Owaawa. The people of Ado would gather and then the Barafon will lead the people into the Owaawa, and that is the place where they will now reply the speach from the throne. They would analyse the speech and if there is anything we have to do, if there is any project to see too.
Falade who explained further on "The Udiroko Festival and its Benefits of Past "We use the Udiroko festival to accomplish a lot of thing. By the grace of God Am Falade Adewale from Atewogboye rulling house of Ado Ekiti and am giving you my words for real: Since Ewi Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III entered the palace on December 1 1990, from the gate house, God has been using Ado Sons and Daughter to facelift the palace. During Udiroko, committee was set up, for instance in raising this office complex we raised a committee of 12 and the chairman was Aare Afe Babalola, The current Ewi told them that He have travelled all the Yoruba palace and that what we cherish here, to him are outdated and we needed to do something quick. Then the committee put head together and the first building by the right is a result of their effort. Not only palace issue, when Prof. Bodunrin was UNAD Vice Chancellor now Ekiti State University, the school had some problems with the accreditation of some of their courses. The VC Came came to the palace and intimated them of their problem with accreditation. And i dont think giving out money is the most effective way to solve all problems. Ewi prefered that Ado Should choose a project. So the Faculty of Law that you see in EKSU now, it was during UDIROKO that the Committee was set up Ado Son and Daughter got together to provide it.
"We also use the festival to update ourselves on the progress of our Sons and Daughter, wherever they are across the globe, any problem any prospect, we use the period to access them. Its also the time to celebrate our new yam which emerges in large quqntity from the Ado Ekiti Area.
"So on the following days after Udiroko, everybody now free to go to their farm to plant the early yams at around September because ours an agrarian socity, that is our main occupation and that is why in those days about the middle of May in most part of the region, we used to have new yam early and in large quantity.
"Its was during Udiroko In 1945 that Ewi of Ade Ekiti Introduced GARI to the people of Ado and Ekiti State at large
"The building of modern houses began the reign of Oba Ewi Aladesanmi II in 1948
"To crown it all, mini stadium (Best in south west) started by Oba Aladesanmi III but completed by the Executive Governor of Ekiti State Dr. Peter Ayodele Fayose, Ongoing Oja Oba mordern maket, Renovation of Ewi Palace and foundation laying of Ado Ekiti mega city Hall.
Udiroko Festival is not for the Ewi and his warrior called Elegbe's alone, but for everyone living in Ado Ekiti. It is an annual opportunity to rekindle peaceful coexistence and unity

Escapes Detention In Ekiti, Floors APC Spokesman, Says Nigerians Have Right To Wail
#Tyrants!!!
Ekiti State APC Publicity Secretary, Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun is indeed a sick man that needs spiritual help!!!
I was in my Abuja office when news filtered in that Ekiti State APC Publicity Secretary, Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun sent in a petition to the Police to arrest, prosecute and jail some PDP members attached to the governor's media team in Ekiti State. What was their offence?
* that they wrote a letter on 2nd July 2016 to Mrs. Aisha Buhari asking her to prove her innocence in the Harliburton Scandal. "Must she not prove it ni?" Fools!
* that they are fond of turning upside down Mr. President Buhari's picture. Haba! "Turning of picture upside down na offence now?" Aye n ba yin fa!
* that they ceaselessly attack the first lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari. "The numerous attacks on Dame Patience, na child's play?" Una dey craze!
Where was Mr. Taiwo Olatubosun when Usman’s blog, Abusidiqu.com was a constant thorn in the flesh of the last president GEJ and family? Was he ever harassed or arrested?
Was Olatubosun in planet pluto when APC members were constantly abusing key members of the PDP in the last administration with special reference to the ex-president and his immediate family? Do I need to avail Olatunbosun with videos and mutilated/'reproduced' pictures of ex-president GEJ just to humiliate him?
As things are now, the APC, both at federal and state level are keen to silence the opposition. They have forgotten so fast how they deceived Nigerians via numerous propaganda etc against the previous government using this same social media.
This is the most terrible government in Nigeria where 'an agba ofifo' is the pilot steering the affairs of the country. They want us to be mute while we are all suffering, they MUST be sick! They don't want us to talk when they have turned themselves to 'Agbalowomeri', they must be insane!
I spoke with an APC chieftain who confided in me that the assumed 'Clueless GEJ' is far better than this 'Over Hyped' clown in power. Deceits all around.... Hypocrites all around deceiving the people... May God deal with all these deceitful bunch asap!
Finally, If the APC thinks the opposition can be taken out of circulation, they MUST definitely be on a 'Dreamers Island'. Let it be known to all that Freedom of speech is a right and not a privilege. Let Olatunbosun know that he's just an 'educated illiterate'! He should continue with his 'eyes service' and 'I too sabi' work. His tenure ends immediately after life span of this exco. Pure and un-diluted nuisance he is....
But for real, welcome back home my brothers. They are definitely making heroes off you guys. Let's continually make them understand that whatever has a beginning will definitely have an end. Aluta Continua, Victoria Ascerta!!!

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State has said that the State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) comment on the purported visit of the Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari to the United States of America (USA) as a function of total ignorance and mischief, saying; “Even the Presidency has not told anyone that wife of the President travelled to the USA and in official communications, only ignorant and mischief makers in the APC will belief that a trip to the USA will be made by Mrs Buhari and Nigerians will only get to know about it through online media.”
The PDP, which said it would have ignored the APC and allowed those in the party to continue to wallop in their self-deceit, added that “it is only in the world of the APC that wife of the President of Nigeria, the most populous black nation in the world would travel to the USA, ostensibly to debunk her involvement in a major scam and no television station will report her departure and arrival. The question is, did she travel to USA or Qatar?”
In a statement issued on Monday by the State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr Jackson Adebayo, the party said; “If the Presidency has not been bold enough to tell Nigerians that Mrs Aisha Buhari travelled to the USA on official visit, only a party of scammers like the APC will go on the rooftops to celebrate photoshoped pictures as evidence of visit to USA.”
The party said “it is strange that wife of the President of Nigeria could travel to the USA and purportedly attended events there without international television stations like CNN, Al jazeera, BBC, Sky News etc and local stations like Channels TV, NTA, AIT and others reporting it. Or are they still ‘editing’ the video clips?”
While casting doubt at the purported trip, the PDP said: “Even if Mrs Aisha Buhari actually travelled to the USA, does that erase the fact that in the judgment delivered by the United State District Court, Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division, USA, in criminal No 1: 07CR209, that indicted the USA Congressman, Williams Jefferson, it was mentioned that $170,000 was transferred from account in Nigeria in the name of Aisha Buhari to an account in the name of The ANJ Group, LLC, identifying William Jefferson as beneficiary?”
The statement read further; “As a party of responsible and discerning minds, the PDP in Ekiti State would have elected to ignore the APC and allow the party the freedom to advertise it idiocy. This is more so that the matter is now a subject of litigation and the no one has denied the existence of the judgment that indicted Williams Jefferson and featured conspicuously at page 22, the name of Aisha Buhari as having transferred $170,000 from account in Nigeria to William Jefferson.
“Most importantly, Nigerians have witnessed more heinous forgeries from the APC, one of them being pictorial claim that President Buhari (as APC presidential candidate then) had an interview with Kemi Fadojutimi on ‘All Eyes on Africa’ TV show in London, whereas the interview was held in Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
“However, it is important to point out that from all evidences, the pictures circulated as arrival of President Buhari’s wife at Dulles International Airport, Washington DC could have been taken at the Doha International Airport, Qatar. Even on the official website of George Mason University and US Institute of Peace, USA where the president’s was said to have attended events, there is nothing to show that she attended any event in the two institutions.
“We have seen pictures of Wife of the Senate President, Toyin Saraki with President Barrack Obama’s wife, Michelle. We also saw pictures of Mrs Patience Jonathan with Michelle Obama when she visited the USA. Where are Aisha Buhari’s pictures with the First Lady of USA and major government officials from the country? Or could she have arrived and departed from the USA like a spirit?”
“It is even more important that nothing official has been said about the purported trip. Not from the President’s spokespersons.”
All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State has described the state governor, Ayo Fayose as a man who lacks integrity.
The party said the trip by the wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari to the United States of America, US, has exposed that Fayose goofed by linking Mrs. Buhari with the Halliburton scandal.
Fayose had earlier claimed that Mrs. Buhari dared not travel to the US because she would be arrested for her involvement in the scandal.
But APC spokesman, Taiwo Olatunbosun, in a statement said the visit of the President’s wife to America last week has exposed the governor as a “liar.”
He said the President’s wife did not only visit America, but also met with the United States government’s top leaders, United Nation’s officials and several NGOs that promised her cash and materials in aid of the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, in the North East.
The party maintained that Ekiti people did not deserve a leader without respect among Nigerians over his indecent conduct, including recklessly telling lies, as well as other unbecoming behaviours that were disgraceful to the integrity of the people of Ekiti State.
Halliburton: Fayose’s lawyer replies Buhari’s wife, justifies claim of her involvement
Counsel to Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) has replied the wife of President Mohammadu Buhari, Mrs Aisha Buhari through her counsel, Mary Ekpere & Co, justifying the governor’s claim that Mrs Aisha Buhari was indeed mentioned in the Halliburton scandal.
In the letter dated July 8, 2016, Ozekhome affirmed that the statement made regarding the involvement of Mrs Aisha Buhari in the Halliburton scandal was “correct and justified in law, having regards to a court judgment convicting one Mr William Jefferson for bribery in the Halliburton case.”
Counsel to the president’s wife, Mary Ekpere & Co had written a letter dated June 22, 2016, to Governor Fayose, demanding a retraction of the governor’s statement that the President’s wife was involved in the Halliburton scandal, threatening legal action if the retraction was not made within five days.
However, Ozekhome said the statement of Governor Fayose was correct and justified, having been factually premised on an existing court judgment.
The letter read; “Our client has referred to us your letter dated 22nd June, 2016, on alleged defamation of the character of your client , Her Excellency, Mrs Aisha Buhari, the wife of Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, with firm instructions to reply to and reject same in its entirety.
“Our client states and reaffirms categorically that the statement he made as regards the involvement of Mrs Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Buhari, in the Halliburton scandal, is correct and justified in law; having regards to a court judgement convicting one Mr William Jefferson for bribery in the Halliburton case.
“Therein, the name of the President’s wife featured conspicuously. At page 22 of the said judgment delivered by the United State District Court, Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division, USA, in criminal No 1: 07CR209, the said Mr William Jefferson was sentenced at 9.00 am on November 13, 2009, by Mark D, Lytle. Your client, Mrs Aisha Buhari was specifically mentioned in the judgment. The judge referred to Exhibits 36-87 in the following words, for clarification;
“See also Government Exhibits 36-87 (6/26/02 $170,000 wire transfer from account in Nigeria in the name of Aisha Buhari to an account in the name of The ANJ Group, LLC, identifying “William Jefferson” as Beneficiary)… Given the age of the defendant, the severity of the sentence calculated by the Probation Office, the defendant’s frequent travel overseas and unexplained wire transfers from overseas locations to financial accounts used by the defendant, the defendant cannot rebut the presumption at sentencing that he is a risk of flight.
“The said Williams Jefferson is currently serving a jail term in the USA and to the best of our client’s knowledge; this judgment has not been challenged, or set aside by any Appellate court of law anywhere in the world.
“The statement of His Excellency, our client, is therefore correct and justified, same having been factually premised on an existing court judgment above referred to.”
On the immunity enjoyed by Governor Fayose against civil and criminal proceedings, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria said; “Your attention is also hereby drawn to Section 308 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as altered, on the immunity enjoyed by our client from civil or criminal proceedings for the period that he occupies the office of the governor of Ekiti State.
“You may therefore advise your client to wait until after 16th October, 2018, when our client’s tenure expires. When that happens, we shall join issues with your client in a competent court of law, in the event that your client does not have a change of heart.”

Fayose, Mimiko better than Ambode –PDP
The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has faulted a poll by theAfrican Leadership Magazine which rated Governor Akinwunmi Ambode as the best performing governor in the country.
The Lagos PDP said the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, and his Ondo State counterpart, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, had performed better than Ambode.
The opposition party’s reaction was against the backdrop of the rating titled, “Good governance poll for Nigeria’s top performing governors.”
The PDP said the magazine’s poll was allegedly sponsored by the state government with the aim of misleading the public.
While analysing the rating, the Publicity Secretary of the Lagos PDP, Gani Taofik, in an interview with our correspondent, on Thursday, described the rating as laughable.
He added that it was far from the current realities in the state.
“Can Governor Akinwunmi Ambode walk on the streets and receive the same kind of support that Governor Fayose gets in Ekiti? Ambode’s elitist style cannot be compared to that of Mimiko and Fayose, who are governors that the common man recognises and relates easily with.
“Ambode cannot match the popularity and acceptability that both Mimiko and Fayose command in Ondo and Ekiti states respectively. Fayose and Mimiko are far better than Ambode,” Taofik said.
Reacting to the PDP’s claim on Thursday, the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Joe Igbokwe, however, described the PDP’s statement as mischievous and laughable.
Igbokwe said nothing good could come out of the former ruling party.

National Chairmanship: Agbaje's integrity can change PDP's fortune
A political group within South West Caucus of the opposition party, Patriots of Peoples Democratic Party, yesterday said integrity should be the first major quality anyone must posses before such an aspirant should be considered for the post of national chairman.
It subsequently declared its support for the candidature of Dr.Jimi Agbaje for the post of national chairman of the party.
The group, in a statement signed by Akinbola Babs, its convener copies of which were made available to newsmen in Osogbo, said if Buhari's supposedly 'integrity' could change APC's fortune, then a man of integrity as the chairman of PDP at this moment would bring about change of fortune for good for the party.
The statement reads: "PDP as a party must change its way of doing things and re create public perception by shunning people with corrupt tendencies or promoting those with corruption cases to leadership positions.
"Against this backdrop, PDP convention committee should put in place a well televised debate for all intending chairmanship aspirants where they will tell the whole world what and how they'll take PDP out of the wood.
"The two factions at the national level -Sheriff and Makarfi factions should come together, settle their differences and give us a credible National Convention.
"As a group, we have concluded to mobilise and take our campaign to all delegates to the national convention to vote for Dr. Jimi Agbaje, who after thorough consultations with stakeholders is seeing as untainted and capable to lead PDP."
It then appealed to others in the race in South West to step down for Agbaje and take up their role of mentoring him to successfully lead the party to victory in 2019 election

Ekiti APC youths warn party leader against disrupting peace in Ekiti State
Youths in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State, under the aegis of Ekiti APC Youths Congress (EAYC) have warned leaders of the party against any unnecessary protests aimed at causing chaos in the State.
The youths said three buses loaded with thugs arrived Iyin-Ekiti today and challenged leaders of the party to put their own children forward to lead whatever protest they were planning before expecting youths in the party to join them.
In a press statement issued on Friday and jointly signed by Mr Tope Ogunkuade and Comrade Tunji Adeleye, Convener and Secretary respectively, the EAYC cautioned youths in the APC against participating in any protest being planned to create anarchy in the State with a view to imposing emergency rule.
They alleged that the protest being planned for next week was meant to be bloody, with some APC vehicles to be destroyed so as to create tension in the State, cautioning that no responsible youth in the APC should present himself to be killed for state of emergency to be declared in Ekiti.
The youths, who alleged that over 200 thugs were being mobilised from neighbouring Osun State to cause mayhem during a protest being planned for next week Tuesday, noted that the “Fayose must go” approach of the party leaders was becoming irritating.
Again, the likes of Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Barrister Femi Falana, Chief Segun Oni, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Dr Kayode Fayemi, Femi Bamisile and others should bring their own children to Ekiti to lead protests against Fayose if they want the youths to join any protest.
The youths said even though they remained committed to the APC and believed that the party would have provided governance than the State is witnessing, throwing the State into chaos with the thinking that a state of emergency would be imposed just to get rid of Governor Fayose should not be an option to any lover of Ekiti.
Instead of wasting millions of naira on needless protests, our party leaders should use whatever financial resources that they have to empower members of the party in Ekiti State who are living in abject poverty.
Rather than this Fayose must be removed agenda that have not materialised since 2014, what Ekiti people want from us is how our party would have done better if it was in power.

CROSSING THE SUBSISTENCE FARMING BRIDGE INTO A COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION
My grandfather farmed on a less than one hectare of land for more than a decade on a yearly crop rotational basis. The entire family land was in excess of fifteen hectares but it was divided up among the brothers and sisters. Even if he had the capacity to produce more than his normal annual yield through fertilizer application and other agro inputs, the size of his land is a major limitation and to thousands of other farmers in Ekiti like him.
Land fragmentation is one of the major reasons why farmers in Ekiti have not been able to move past the subsistence farming (hand to mouth year in year out) to commercial production, so how can we be of help?
Politicians have done a fair share of what is expected of them, we have paved road all over Ekiti although with a bit of potholes, but generally passable and should I add that every nook and cranny of Ekiti is connected to the national electricity grid as well. So the challenge is for our civil servants to up their ante by giving us value for the money (salary delays is not an excuse) the state pays, and here is how: Each of the local government areas has sets of farm machineries mostly sitting idle and rotten away, machines which includes tractors, planters, sprayer, ploughing disc among others… so we can’t really hold the politicians responsible for the non usage of these machines.
My suggestion is to have the people at the State ministry of agriculture to open twenty hectares of farmland at each town within Ekiti and i'm sure the farmers will be willing to contribute the fuel money for such venture.
Imagine the possibilities of having a twenty hectares of maize per town, multiply by the first fifty towns within Ekiti, on an average yield of two tons per hectare with the current market rate of maize per ton at fifty thousand naira, we are in the range of one hundred million naira in three months!
Kwara state has one of the largest animal feed milling plant in the country, and we have an expressway to Ilorin from Ekiti, with less than two hours drive, so let us ask ourselves here, what is the volume of produce from Ekiti that goes into feeding that mill? I guess less than 10 percent, Ilesha people are known as commodities buyers from time immemorial, yet international brewery Ilesha is less than three hours drive from Ekiti and I ask again what are we selling to Ilesha of our farm produce? Answer in silence but think about it aloud
If we open the land as I had suggested and with an average yield of 2,000MT of farm produce in three month then our civil servants at the ministry of trade and investment can walk up to the animal feed mill in Kwara or the International brewery Ilesha or even move further up to Ibadan where we have more than four feed mills competing for raw materials, to negotiate on behalf of the farmers to get a better returns on their collective produce. So how does the government gain in all this? Simple, when the ministry of trade and investment negotiates and sell on our behalf, they do a direct debit of their necessary but agreed tax from the source and we the farmers in turn get paid and we would be able to send our kids to school, feed our family, save more for the next planting season in comfort. The government wins and we win.
If we can maintain the feat above for three years without a break, I’m sure small mills and their associated industries will spring up in Ekiti, because of the access to raw materials in an organized selling structure by the ministry of trade and industries. This is only a maize scenario, we can as well replicate same for cassava, sorghum, rice, and sunflower among others.
Well I’m one of your sons although I lived and worked abroad but with a practical knowledge of my state and from practical standing point I give a special thank you and recognition for the Oba alayeluwa of Iye –Ekiti who rallied round his people to secure for me a 100 hectares of land after visiting 5 other towns without success, we did a major land clearing, preparation and planting without any negative issues at all and we have matured maize fields ready for harvest and we are estimating the worst case scenario of three tons per hectares …..

Osun judge’s sacking may weaken Buhari’s anti-corruption war – Activists

The Civil Societies Coalition for the Emancipation of Osun State has berated the National Judiclal Council for recommending compulsory retirement for a judge in the Osun State High Court, Justice Folahanmi Oloyede.
The Chairman of the group, Mr. Sulaiman Adeniyi, said at a press conference in Osogbo on Wednesday that the sacking of the judge could weaken the anti-corruption crusade of President Muhammad Buhari, because many would not want to speak against the evils being perpetrated by public office holders.
Oloyode, who last year accused Governor Rauf Aregbesola of corruption and abdication of his primary responsibilities including payment of workers’ salaries had petitioned the House of Assembly and asked them to impeach the governor and his deputy, Mrs. Titi Laoye Tomori, for this offences.
The NJC, after their investigation to the petition written against the judge by a group known as Osun Civil Societies Coalition, recommended that Oloyede should be retired compulsorily.
But Adeniyi said the CSCEOS believed the NJC colluded with some corrupt public officers to victimise Oloyode, who they described as ” one of the very few courageous and incorruptible judges left in the Nigerian judiciary.”
Adeniyi said, ” It is a calculated miscarriage of justice aimed at forever discouraging and silencing any person(s) who might want to speak out against the multitude of evil of the so called elected leaders in our country.
” We appeal to all men of good conscience to strongly reject and condemn this mouse and abuse of power by the so called elected public office holders to subjugate the masses. We also appeal to President Muhhamadu Buhari to urgently constitute an independent and unbiased panel of inquiry into this matter that has the capacity to rubbish his anti-corruption crusade.”
Adeniyi claimed that the OCSC led by Mr. Waheed Lawal which petitioned the NJC and asked them to dismiss Oloyede was an extension of Aregbesola.
He stated that his group countered the petition written by Lawal led group and swore to affidavit to prove that Lawal was not fit to bring such petition before the NJC because he and most members of the group had criminal cases hanging on them.
Adeniyi stated that despite the evidence presented before the NJC to show that the petitioners were not fit to write the petition and their refusal to defend the allegations against them, the NJC still recommended compulsory retirement for Oloyede.
The group accused the NJC of circumventing it’s own guideline published in 2015, that the body would not treat any petition without first investigating the integrity of the petitioners.

#Meet your Governor on EKTV and 91.5 Radio station
APC had opportunity in Ekiti but the party misused its opportunity.
Ekiti got N900m in June and N1.3bn from the FG as bailout
If I returned to govt house on my own, I will be removed from this position. But if it's by the power of God, I will never be removed
I was the one who dualised Ado-Ikere road and they left the road dilapidated.I have rehabilitated the road and extending it now
In the next 6 months, all of us will see the 1.2km FLYOVER bridge that we are doing in Ado
PDP ruled Nigeria and never prevented Nigerians from talking. APC is a party that won't let Nigerians talk but I will continue to talk
Has there been any election that was not funded? If for instance, people assisted me for my wedding with money and I did not spend all the money for the wedding, am I to return the remaining money to those who have me?
If I used my money to buy properties, what is their business? Is their money missing?
Today, some APC leaders in Ekiti State now resume and close in the Office of EFCC everyday just because of Ayo Fayose. They will labour in vain.
We deceive ourselves too much in this country. Even our population that they said is 150m is not true.
I declared in my Assets Declaration Form that I had N300m in my fixed Deposit Account in Zenith Bank.
By the end of this month, we are starting a Social Welfare Scheme in which 7,000 pole will be getting N5,000 per month.
#FayoseSpeaks
Its now obvious that the APC/Buhari Anti Corruption Campaign Is Strictly Against PDP.
The APC Anti Corruption Campaign held in Ado Ekiti Today Is A Disgrace to Democracy and A sign that they are just chasing shadow.
Very Shameful that the party Could Single out Governor Fayose in their Campaign Against Corruption As the Only corrupt Person In Ekiti State.
What was their Reaction to Over 1.5billion naira fayemi Donated To Buhari's Campaign?
What Do They Have to Say, as touches Pay and Withdraw Back Method Fayemi Did when he was to Pay over 800million Naira SUbeb found which is actually the Reason Ekiti is has not benefited From Subeb Programme Since two years Ago.
Quickly, Can APC people In Ekiti Explain To Us Where billions or Naira meant For Flowers Beatification Of Ado Ekiti Is Today?
You people now have the gut to say Fayose Must Go, if you people are not Ashamed we outside are Ashamed of this Your Childish and Greediness Politics.
Enough is Enough You must Learn how to accept Defeat.
In Case you are yet to Know Fayose Peter The Rock is Going no Where until After His Tenure.
APC go and Wait for your Time!
Ekiti APC Protest Goes Solo, As Turnout Turned Discouraging
The orchestrated so-called solidarity protest in support of President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti corruption programme by the Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has again today Thursday went solo in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, as the turnout of the paid protesters turned discouraging despite the allocated 7.5 million naira received by the state publicity secretary, Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun.
Public Opinion:
Ekiti APC Spokesperson, Taiwo Olatunbosun (arrowed) with his “MAMMOTH CROWD” of anti Fayose’s protesters in Ado Ekiti today.
Is this all that could be done with N7.5m mobilisation fund collected?
Taiwo Olatunbosun has turned APC leaders to “jeun-jeun” in Ekiti. See poor turnout despite 7.5Million naira mobilization fund.
its now obvious that the APC/Buhari Anti
Corruption Campaign Is Strictly Against PDP And
Fayose. Shame on You People

#Shocker! Fayemi Stole and Squandered N8.5B Ekiti Money on Election
In 2014, prior to the Ekiti guber election, Fayemi as the then governor spent a whole lot of money on his campaign to bring so many people into Ekiti.
Olamide performing Kodurosoke, Odunlade Adekola dramatising, KWAM 1 blasting on the low and high keys, where Aunty Bisi Fayemi was merrymaking as if everyday was her birthday, and Prof Woke Soyinka corruptly ate Ekiti money at Oke Ayoba without asking how did such delicacies got to his table and purse in a poverty-stricken state like Ekiti.
Olamide appearance fee is put at N5,000,000 per show. The talented super kid performed more than three times for Fayemi during that period, putting what he got from Ekiti at around N15M plus or minus. For all the periods King Wasiu Ayinda Marsha 1 came to perform in Ekiti, did not come for free, yes! He was also paid for all the periods he came to perform for Fayemi/APC in Ekiti the Oluaye of Fuji's appearance fee is N7m per show for political engagements.
These are some of the superstars that came to Ekiti State for their share of the loots. One should ask, how did a poor state like Ekiti was able to pay for the performances of these superstars?
On the day of Election, Fayemi's APC budgeted and distributed whooping N10,000 per vote, whether the money got to the intended targets is non of our business, but that was what was put forward on the day of the election.
Let's do this quick and simple 'Isiro' Arithmetic on how much was spent on the election day by APC:
Ekiti has 732,021 registered voters. APC must have therefore prepared for at least 700,000 voters based on 10k/vote arrangement they made.
700,000 x N10,000 = N7,000,000,000 (N7Billion)
Whooping 7Billion was stolen from Ekiti purse to prosecute Fayemi's election in June 2014.
Add the N7B to the N1.5b donated to the campaign purse of President Buhari, that gives N8.5bn stolen from Ekiti purse and wasted on election.
Let's now ask, where did former governor Fayemi get N8.5bn he wasted on his failed Election in 2014?
If EFCC is so keen to know where Fayose, who as at June 2014 was not the governor got his campaign funds from, why then is it difficult for the Commission to dig into how Fayemi stole and squandered Ekiti money on frivolities when damning evidences are in front of it?
There above, is one of the evidences of Fayemi/APC fraud in Ekiti. The document is with the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) since 11th of April 2015 and the commission has not acted on it.
Series of petitions with evidences against Fayemi's theft from different pressure groups are with the EFCC, but the commission
Ekiti people are now asking:
#HowDidFayemiGetN8b spent on campaign?
#ProbeFayemiNow!
#BringBackEkitiMoney

PDP: Court confirms the sack of Sheriff
•says May 21 National Convention was valid
•confirms the PDP Caretaker Committee
A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt on Monday declared that the May 21, 2016 National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,
was duly constituted, declaring that the dissolution of the National Working Committee and the National Executive Committee by that convention were valid.
In his judgment on the suit filed by the PDP against Senator Ali Modu Sheriff and others, Justice Abdullahi Liman declared that the appointment of the Caretaker Committee of the PDP to oversee its affairs was legal and in line with the provisions of the PDP constitution.
Justice Liman said that Article 31 (1) of the PDP constitution vested the powers to convene a national convention on the National Executive Committee of the party.
The court held that pursuant to the constitution of the party, the former Acting National Chairman had no powers to unilaterally postpone the properly constituted national convention on a day all delegates had converged on Port Harcourt, the host city.
He described the action of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as most unconscionable , pointing out that the former Acting National Chairman participated in all the processes leading to the National Convention, only to make a u-turn at the final minute after he was screened and disqualified.
The court ruled that after Sheriff was disqualified following his screening, the only option that was left to Senator Sheriff was to have gone to the venue of the National Convention to seek the opinion of delegates whether they were prepared to go on with the convention or not.
According to Justice Liman, the absence of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff from the convention did not visible from the process as his powers were not usurped.
The court declared that under Article 35 (b) of the PDP constitution , in the absence of the Chairman, the Deputy Chairman was empowered to preside over the National Convention.
It therefore ruled that the May 21st, 2016 PDP National Convention was properly constituted and the decisions taken at the convention, valid.
The Federal High Court further ruled that in line with Article 33 (2) of the PDP constitution, the National Convention of the party is supreme and can exercise the powers to dissolve the National Working Committee and the National Executive Committee of the party.
On the issue of the abuse of court process claimed by the Former National Acting Chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, the court held that the plaintiffs in the case in question are not the same in the cases mentioned by the defendants, noting that the plaintiffs suit only centred on the National Convention.
The court noted that five days to the National Convention, the Former Acting National Chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff had through his counsel's dissociated himself from one of the suits they filed via proxies.
Justice Liman emphasised that there was no suit challenging the conduct of the National Convention in Port Harcourt and that no injunction sought to stop the convention.
Addressing journalists after the judgment, Counsel to the PDP, Dejo Lamikanra (SAN) said that the judgment settles all the contending issues concerning the PDP. He said with the judgement, the decision of the National Convention to appoint a Caretaker Committee stands and that Senator Ali Modu Sheriff was duly sacked.
In his remarks, Secretary of the Caretaker Committee, Senator Ben Obi declared that the Caretaker Committee will now settle down to carry out the responsibility bestowed on it by the National Convention.
Counsel to Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, Mr John Martins Abu commended the court for its judgment.

Return Fayemi’s N1.5bn Donation To Your Campaign, Ekiti PDP Tells Buhari
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State has told President Mohammadu Buhari to return the N1.5 billion the State money donated to fund his election by former governor of the State, Dr Kayode Fayemi.
The party said “equity and justice demand that Buhari should return what he got from Ekiti State treasury through Fayemi, if he is running after those who allegedly got money from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).”
State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Jackson Adebayo said in a release issued in Ado-Ekiti on Monday that the N1.5 billion, if returned will go a long way in cushioning the effects of the dwindling economic fortune of the State, especially payment of workers salary.
Fayemi, who is now Buhari’s Minister of Solid Minerals reportedly transferred N1.5 billion from his account in a bank located along Liberation Square, Accra, Ghana to the APC Presidential Campaign Fund account “in other to place him in a vantage position for ministerial appointment should Buhari wins the February 14 Presidential election,” and true to his expectation, he was appointed minister.
“N1.5 billion is a lot of money and Ekiti State government will only need to add some millions to be able to pay one month salary if Buhari returns the money.
“The APC government of Fayemi left office with August and September 2014 salaries of workers unpaid but the same Fayemi could donate N1.5bn to Buhari’s campaign just because he wanted to be minister. Where then is the morality in Buhari’s anti-corruption posture when he was funded with stolen fund?
The party insist that President Buhari must therefore return the N1.5 billion stolen from Ekiti State that was used to fund his election.
While reiterating the PDP’s support for the fight against corruption, the party maintained “President Buhari must first remove the logs in his eyes before his attempt to remove the toothpicks in other people’s eyes can be taken seriously and the first step he must take is to return the N1.5 billion he got from Fayemi to fund his election.

Fayose dismisses Ekiti APC 102 petitions against 2014 guber election, says; “IGP should be mindful of desperate paper-weight guber aspirants”
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has told the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop chasing shadows on the June 21, 2014 governorship election in the State and wait for 2018, saying; “writing over 100 petitions to the office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) on an election conducted two years ago and was adjudged as free, fair and credible even by the international community, including the United States of America government is a demonstration of the APC desperation to throw Ekiti State into chaos just because the party lost power.”
Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media to the governor, Lere Olayinka, in a statement issued in Ado Ekiti on Sunday, wondered how many petitions should have been written against the Presidential Election if APC could write over 100 petitions against an election held in just 16 out of the 774 Local Councils in the country.”
The governor, who advised the new IGP not to allow himself to dragged into the Ekiti State APC blinded show of political desperation, added that; “the IGP should maintain the culture of professional policing and maintenance of rule of law as done by his immediate predecessor, Mr Solomon Arase. He should be mindful of being drawn into needless political fights orchestrated by some APC governorship aspirants in Ekiti State just because of fear of 2018.”
He pointed out that; “assuming but not conceding that offences were committed by anyone before, during and after the election held two years ago, the Ekiti State Police Command would have carried out its investigation and made anyone found culpable to face the law.
“It should also be pointed out that it is the duty of the Attorney General of Ekiti State to prosecute anyone that committed any offence in Ekiti State and not that of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).
“Most importantly, the IGP should be mindful of the reality that writing over 100 petitions to the police, two years after an election was won and lost and expecting the police to embark on wanton arrest of innocent Ekiti people is a clear invitation to anarchy and it is hoped that the new IGP won’t begin his career as the number one police officer in Nigeria with the ridiculous action of running after PDP members in Ekiti State instead of focussing on the growing insecurity in the country.”
Speaking further, the governor said; “If the APC bad losers in Ekiti State are still making noise over an election they lost in all the 16 Local Councils in the State two years ago, Nigerians should ask questions as to whether it was through the use of security agents that the PDP won the Presidential, National Assembly and State House of Assembly elections last year.
“The IGP should be mindful of the fact that as at today, dispute on the governorship election has become functus officio because as a general rule, once a tribunal has reached a final decision in respect to the matter that is before it in accordance with its enabling statute, that decision cannot be revisited.
“The IGP should also be reminded that the US Department of State and other International Observers, which observed the election, praised security forces (including the police) for collaborating effectively in providing a safe environment free of major incidents.
“Therefore, these petitions, which are obviously meant to orchestrate the harassment and intimidation of PDP members in Ekiti State and notable functionaries of the government should be ignored by the IGP while the police boss focusses on the greater task of resolving the security problems being faced by the country.”

Man, 54, abducts, rapes 11-year-old girl in Ekiti
Kamarudeen Ogundele, Ado Ekiti
A 54-year-old man, Gbenga Adebayo, has been remanded in prison custody by a Magistrate’s court in Ado Ekiti, for allegedly abducting and defiling an 11-year-old girl.
It was gathered that Adebayo lured the girl to his aged mother’s place in Ushi Ekiti, about 60km from Ado Ekiti, where he was allegedly visiting her regularly and sleeping with her.
Adebayo deceived neighbours by joining the search team for the girl.
Bubble, however, burst when the girl refused to cooperate with him again and demanded to see her family.
Adebayo then took her to one of her aunts in Akure, whom she lied to that he found the girl wandering about.
Suspecting a foul play, the aunt reported the matter to the police. The victim during interrogation confessed that the suspect had slept with her not less than 10 times where he had hid her.
The victim while narrating her ordeal said, “He is my neighbour. He used to ask me to buy things for him. One day he approached me, saying he wanted to help me because my teacher was harsh on me. He said he would rescue me from my teacher and take good care of me. He then took me to his mother’s place in Usi-Ekiti. Whenever he comes there, he used to sleep with me. He has done this for 10 times now.
“I was at his mother’s place for three weeks after which I refused to sleep with him again and because of that, he decided to take me to my aunt’s place in Akure. He told my aunt that he found me in his mother’s place in Ushi and decided to help me by taking me to her. He is the first man in my life, ” the girl said.
The girl’s aunt in Ado Ekiti, Mrs. Theresa Agboola, said the girl was staying with one of her female school teachers near Ekiti State Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.
Agboola said, “About a month ago, June 5 precisely, the girl’s teacher had called to inform me that she was missing and that the whole occupants in the house, including the suspect, Gbenga Adebayo, were searching for her.
“That continued till June 29, when my sister from Akure called to tell me that the girl was brought to her by a man whom she identified as the same Gbenga Adebayo. It was then we suspected a foul play.
” We felt that if indeed Adebayo was sincere, he cannot be the same man who was part of the search team for the girl for three weeks here in Ado-Ekiti and also be the one who would now take her to my sister’s place in Akure after finding her. We then reported the case to the police who promptly arrested Adebayo and charged him to court.
“Last Friday, the magistrate court in Ado-Ekiti remanded him in prison. We also gathered that he has been sleeping with the girl before eventually taking her to his mother.”
When contacted, the Ekiti State Police Public Relations Offcer, Alberto Adeyemi, confirmed that the suspect had already been charged to court.
