Ayo Fayose The Governor Of Ekiti State reveals the involvement of Aisha Buhari The Wife Of President Buhari in the Halliburton scandal, APC In Reaction ,on June 27th announced that the First Lady would travel to USA yesterday, June30 to attend the World First Ladies Conference holding at Colorado USA In Order to Prove her innocence. Through the media director in the Office of the Wife of the President, Zakari Nadabo indicates that the First Lady has canceled the proposed trip.
Nadabo disclosed that the wife of the president had left for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for lesser hajj. Our News Correspondent Learnt That This is the second time Aisha is canceling her proposed visit to the US since president muhammadu Buhari assume office. Ayo Fayose had challenged the wife of the President, Hajia Aisha Buhari, to prove her innocence in the Halliburton scam by paying visit to the United States, U.S. Fayose had last Monday made it known that the President’s wife was the person allegedly indicted by a US Court for transferring $170,000 to indicted US Congressman, Williams Jefferson, in the Halliburton scandal.
Fayose insist that his allegation on Aisha Is not wrong. he asserted “on three occasions had President Buhari visited the US since assuming power,even When Sick Aisha refuse to Follow Him to U.S” He also added that rather than attend a conference to which she was invited, Aisha Buhari Will sent Toyin, the wife of the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
Speaking in a statement issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, on Wednesday, the Governor “challenged the president’s wife to visit the United States of America to convince Nigerians that she was not the Aisha Buhari mentioned in the judgment convicting William Jefferson.” “It is on record that the President has visited USA three times and his wife did not travel with him. Equally, she ought to have visited USA last year September to chair a United Nations programme but she sent wife of the Senate President, Mrs Toyin Saraki to represent her.
